    Being an INFJ is isolating, and it is disheartening that so many pretend to be one because they like the idea of what it represents; however, I often find it to be a burden. The feelings are often so overwhelming that I experience painful physical symptoms from the hypersensitivity. I can easily spot a fake INFJ a mile away, and I hope one day we can learn to truly understand the weight of what it means to be an INFJ. We are sensitive people living in a desensitized world.

    Oh, hey! You're finally back! I honestly didn't expect you to come back at all. Then you pop up in my recommended, so I click! I wasn't a "guardian" in the sense of "making sure everyone was doing the right thing." I mean, when my first son was born, I definitely valued that bond. I tried to be and give him everything that I didn't have. But it was never about "what was right." Rather, more so that I just wanted a happy, healthy family. Then everything was taken away from me, so I just kept moving forward.

    Why is ISFP Guadian? I'm Muslim and this is strange, but i'm also non-religious as INFP ... i'm by no way a bridge to God, that would mean i'm Prophet. I am However Royal Guard or keeper as in football. However exactly like we should group around you in this video, we need to group around God. Like Buddhism says in Heart Sutra all religions teach emptiness (Including Islam).

    I am loving your videos so much. I've been slowly getting into socionics more and more and yours are some of the first videos I've stumbled upon while going into this deep dive. I've been someone who has struggled so much with typing myself and have narrowed it down to a few types but am always bouncing back and forth, not being able to fully make up my mind. Your videos have offered so many fresh, new insights and really hit home for me. Subscribed! :)

    Thank you for resisting the current fad in typology which is saying that MBTI and Socionics are the same as in the types are the same across the board. I don't know what started this, but I have people talking down to me because I'm saying the obvious- that the systems are different. There are some types, like ENTPs for example, that are pretty close if not virtually the same; but the introverted types are definitely different and many of the extroverted types don't correlate with each other across systems.

    • @beatofmyown
      @beatofmyown 3 дні тому

      Yeah it’s a completely different system! But this reasoning only works because MBTI is such a bad test to begin with if you’re trying to find your true personality type. An MBTI INFP (introverted, intuitive, feeler, perceiver), could easily be an ESTP once they test themselves using cognitive functions. 🤣 However, I will say that after using the cognitive functions to figure out your type, then there shouldn’t be too big of a difference between your MBTI type and your sociotype. For example, if you looked at the cognitive functions and typed yourself an extroverted sensing lead, it’s highly unlikely that you would also be an eii in socionics that’s polr Se. I do believe there’s a correlation there.

    One of the more difficult things to cope with as an INFJ, is that I'm able see from all sides people's different opinions on a given subject. Not only does this confuse some but infuriates as well, seeing me as contradictive or "wishy washy". However, being paradoxical and multifocal is at the very heart of being an INFJ. Great video! Thank you. 🙏🩵✨️

    Fantastic. I wondered when you were going to do such a video. So many type people are just handing out - "you are xxxx type if you do this...." Interestingly..... I thought perhaps this video will be you asking reflective questions like "What is the nature of your fears...?" or "How have you been living your inner life?" , "What are things that you see in others that trigger you the most?" and perhaps sitting with the audience for reflective process to happen. When I watch this video, it started like an "instruction manual" i.e. Ask your peers (the questions were then a little embedded inside), ... questions did come a little later..."What are you not sacrificing?" and followed by another instruction "Look at your daily choices!" Can I say... this is also an example of pretty strong Te? :)

    After years of trying to figure out my type, finally a video that talks about ESFJs in normal and non stereotypical way that makes me relate to my type. For the longest, I thought I was an ENTP, then I was always between ENFP and INFP, but smth never felt right. I got ESE on a socionics text, but that also didn't feel right bcs of so much misinformation there is around there about us. Not everyone one of us will be a gramma that's trying to push cake inside your throat, okay? 😂😂 I know there's a reason why certain stereotypes exist, but they're too wide spread in the community. There should be more information about WHY the stereotypes come to light, but especially the alternatives. Thank you sm Aimee 🙏🙏 I'd also like to ask you... I think that INxPs in general are very good at seeing the collective results of humanity’s actions and provide warnings in that regard. However, because of Se trickster, both INTPs and INFPs are not nearly as good at naturally being aware of the results of their actions on other people. Especially when we have failure to launch/getting stuck in a rut syndrome with our Si child.

    I think I'm drawn to the less "obvious' types because the two or four most obvious types don't quite seem to fit. I originally typed myself as an INFP or maybe an ENFP. Then I took a socionics quiz and my result was LII, which is closer to INTP. I didn't really expect that result, but apparently people seemed to think it fits. I think INFP, INTP, ENFP and ENTP are the most "logical" types for me. At the same time I can think of many reasons why none of them quite fit.

    These are cool tips, I really like the one about thinking about our choices vs our circumstances. I know my type but I'm going to help my brother find his type, he's starting to get interested in this too. I joined a typology server and it was surprising to see the perceptions that people had of me, they think: - I have a strong work ethic - I talk a lot - Apparently they like me because they invited me to their server just for people they feel comfortable being there The people who know me the best think I'm: - Mean - Bossy - Funny - Uptight - Cold - Intelligent My friend said to me a couple of days or so ago: "Damn you're mean but you're funny as f" I was surprised, I had always thought I was lazy but I've started to realize I'm really hard on myself, I just didn't notice I was being hard on myself until recently. As for being bossy and mean, I'm not, people just misread the situation and I'm not sure where to begin on phrasing whatever they get upset about in a more palatable way. I joined a server and was unanimously typed as an ESTJ by people who seem to know what they're talking about.

    I think with functions it depends on the person. I found functions helped me understand types better. However, knowning them didnt make me change my type, but it turned out that they so accurately display parts of me that are functional or not so functional. However, I'm not in typology land for self descovery, as I'm quite introspective already. However, functions lay out what I find hard about choices...which comes from having high Ne and wanting options

    I was thinking for 8 years that I am an INTP, not after my INTJ friend for 15 years said that I am too extroverted to be an introvert. She has a good reason that I get bored easily and always reaching for something (not boring) outside of myself. Me being really bad at Fi, I know that there will be possibility of me being an extrovert. Lately I realize that I have difficulty on Si more than Fe (eventhough I am not the best at Fe, but handling boredom is way more challenging to me). Then I am open to possibility and rebrand myself as ENTP lol (still not really sure with enneagram, I think I am a 5 but I need some time to ponder about this subject)

    As for the 3rd point, the first thing that i felt imaging a certain scenario is the need of control. Like if i imagine myself to be homeless, i sense this need of seeking for what is next, in order to improve the situation. It also makes me think about those chaotic (social) situations where i need to solve things linearly, feeling the pressure of time at the same time. Like I need to get things done FAST but also PERFECTLY, just as I've pictured in my mind, regardless of the fact that everything around me is unbearably chaotic. I've also imagined a potential situation of me delivering a baby. The fact is that I've thought about it before, and I imagined to tell everybody to not come visiting me at the hospital. Because I imagine the whole experience to be extremely stressful and chaotic, both physically and mentally and so i would limit any inconvenience to make that experience as short as possible. So the 2nd thing that I'm not willing to sacrifice is peace, tranquility. Because with it, it is easier to see what is going on around me and i can see where everything is going and, again, i can know things, i can control them and handle them by myself. Even if it only is in my mind. Even if it all is just a mental process

    My ENFJ grandmother helped me with finding my type without her even knowing it :DD (she doesn't talk about personality types and I didn't tell her yet that I'm interested in this topic). She used the exact terms that are used in C.S.Joseph's system. The number one word is: logic- she calls me a logician a lot (if she discovers that my personality type is called the logician (INTP), she wouldn't be surprised at all :D). The second is: pragmatic. And not just logic but also empathy (Ti+Fe). Also discipline+ responsibility (Si). She would also definitely say: control (everything measured) (introverted control types are INTP, INFP, ISFJ and ISFP), and systematic. But she would say that I'm concrete and focused on reality- which is why I also considered me being ISTJ (but at the same time she's surprised what highly intellectual and philosophical things can come up from my mind). But a person can be either pragmatic+abstract+systematic (NT) or affiliative+concrete+systematic (SJ), not pragmatic+concrete+systematic.

    I would love to get typed but english is not my first language. And I think that could impact the result :( So I will try these 4 questions and hopefully get some clarity. I have been researching for 4 years now lol

    Would you say caring too much what other people think of you and overthinking relationships is an introverted or extroverted trait? Or is it just neutral?

    • @beatofmyown
      @beatofmyown 21 день тому

      It depends on what you’re “tied to.” If you’re extroverted, then regardless of these factors, you will still find yourself wanting to get involved with what’s outside.

      I'd say insecurity about relationships and what other people think (and overthinking it) is Te/Fe inferior (4th function) or nemesis (5th function). So I would guess INXP or maybe ISXP, but not sure how the Fe inferior social anxiety works in ISTP or in ISXPs in general- they live in the present (Ne and especially Ti+Ne sounds like overthinking) and especially ISTP is fearless.

      @@SoulGoof7 Btw, if you’re finding that people are starting to hesitate in answering these questions for you, or if they’re like, “again??” Chances are, you’re getting too deep with your questions. Remember to keep it super short and surface level. And when they do answer for you, just accept it for what it is. Don’t pry, don’t debate. Just take it.

      @beatofmyown I just asked 5 people these questions, I basically used 2 sentences per question and then let them describe everything. And they all replied with 4 lines per question, YET with sufficient detail. WE MAKING PROGRESS PEOPLEEEEE

    As a Ne dom i know damn well that even after watching the 368th video about what my type is i will still be doubting 😫 and i’m not even sure i’m an Ne dom i say that just because i can’t settle on one type and am indecisive…

      I would say E*fp or I*fp. Yes, I know it is weird to hesitate between Ne and Se, since they’re completely different, but I honestly relate to both 😂. I was also diagnosed with ADHD as a kid, and ADHD is similar to Ne, which makes things even harder.
